GREAT WEEKEND!!!

Addi had a full weekend and it was awesome. Friday night we went to my brother's house and had a BBQ. We had a great night there. I love hang in out with my brother, Tyler, and my nephew, Roman. When we left his house we went to the observatory so Addi could see the stars. She loved it! She was so excited about seeing Saturn and learning about the stars. According to her she wants to be a astronaut, and her back up plan is to be a doctor, and her back up plan is to be a science teacher. I'm not sure where she get her iq, but I'm thinking it's from me ( haha.
Saturday morning we got up bright and early for a surprise breakfast with Dora the Explorer and her side kick Boots. She was tickled pink. After Dora she went to a local bar/restaurant and did some karaoke for little kids. Addi sang a few songs. A couple Michael Jackson songs, Katy Perry, and Lady Gaga. She is such a talented little girl. I know all parent's children are special in very different and wonderful ways, but we all have bias opinions. After karaoke we relaxed for a while. Then came for the best part of the day...going to the drive in. We love the drive-in theater. The snacks, being outside, watching three movies forth price of one. It's just a great time to hang out, relax, and enjoy being a family.
Now it's Sunday, a day of rest. Ya right. Today we go over to GG's house to help work on her garden and celebrate her birthday. Addi loves to help in her garden, and today as a birthday gift we are framing the garden in stone (I think). See I'm left out of the details. I just know we need to show up and help put the framing in. Either way it should be fun to hang out with the whole family. I love them all so much.

First Time

I'm new to this blogging idea, but clearly there is good reason for this attempt. I'm a mother to an amazing little girl. Last week I took her to meet her teachers and tour her new school, Addi begins kindergarten this fall. Seems like it was just yesterday when I was holding a 6lb 12oz angel that was taking my breath away. Now she is 5 going on 17. There are days I completely believe she has a higher IQ than students at the top of their class in Harvard, then there are those other days where she is a typical 5 year old testing all the limits. Either way Addison Ann makes my world shine. Her smile is the blessing of a lifetime. Every little giggle and sweet laugh makes me a better person. But like the song says "...It won't be like this for long..." I look at Addi every morning and it seems as though there is a new facial expression, a new habit, a new question about life, a fleeting moment that I will never get again. I'm missing too much, please slow down time!! I want these times to last forever, but let's get real, time flies and we don't get everything we want. This blog will be my attempt to hold those moments still; good or bad.
